A complex 2.5D part may require many machining decisions: facing, adaptive clearing, pockets, drilling, contours and chamfers. Project 5 shows MGC Matrix AI orchestrating these steps inside Autodesk Fusion — rather than replacing Fusion with another CAM engine.

A real, controlled CAM workflow

The recorded demonstration starts with the active Fusion model and manufacturing context. MGC helps inspect the model, prepare a reviewable machining plan and create 24 native Fusion CAM operations for this particular tutorial part.

Fusion performs the native toolpath calculations. The engineer still reviews machining strategy, tools, workholding assumptions and simulation before authorising production output.

Simulation is a decision point, not decoration

When the CAM sequence is ready, the operator moves into Autodesk Fusion simulation to check the material-removal sequence and remaining stock. In this demonstrated workflow, NC output remains gated until the simulation review is acknowledged.

A generated toolpath is not proof of machine safety: post-processor configuration, workholding, cutter data and on-machine prove-out remain necessary.

From 24 CAM operations to 13 NC programs

Following the review, the demonstrated run generates 13 tool-grouped NC program files using the chosen Fusion post processor, plus setup documentation and PDF outputs. The recording includes an edited view of the process; the approximately three-minute CAM build is a result of this particular test, not a guaranteed benchmark.

These demonstrated results are the current evidence for this example geometry. Coverage of other parts and strategies is being expanded and validated separately.

Request a technical evaluation

For CAM managers and manufacturing engineers, the commercial question is not whether a video looks fast. It is whether a repeatable workflow reduces low-value programming work while preserving engineering oversight. MGC offers discussions around representative machining use cases and controlled technical pilots.
